The Itinerary: Your Full Off-Strip Day (Old West Tour)

This tour is built to feel “packed-full” in the best way—like you got five experiences in one, without feeling rushed.

Option A: Self-Drive Itinerary (About 5.5 Hours Total)

If you’re driving yourself to our location, this is the flow you can plan around.

0:00 – Arrive + check-in
You’ll check in, get everyone organized, and knock out anything needed before we start (waivers, quick reminders, and making sure your group is set).

0:20 – Ghost Town Sightseeing Walking Tour (1861 mining town vibes)
We start with a guided sightseeing walking tour through a historic 1861 mining town “ghost town-style” location filled with rare antiques, vintage equipment, Old West buildings, and photo spots that look like a movie set.

This is where the day really starts. It’s not “ride first, figure it out later.” It’s a full experience from the jump.

0:50 – Gear up + safety briefing
Helmet socks, helmets, goggles, gloves, and real instruction. We walk you through how to operate your ATV or RZR, spacing, braking, corners, and group pacing so the ride stays smooth and fun.

1:10 – Guided off-road ride through Eldorado Canyon (75–90 minutes)
Now we ride. Epic desert trails, canyon scenery, and the kind of panoramic views that make you forget you were ever on the Strip.

We’re beginner-friendly, but we’re not beginner-only. If you’re experienced, you’ll still have a blast—and if you want to level it up, we’ll guide you to the right add-ons.

2:40 – Dust-off + reset
You’ll come back dusty (that’s part of it). We dust you off before you head into the next part of the day so you’re more comfortable.

2:55 – Lunch + Adventure Zone hangout
Lunch is included. You’ll enjoy a Capriotti’s lunch (8″ sub or entrée salad) with chips, cookies, and your drink choice, and you’ll eat it with desert views in our Adventure Zone hangout area. This space has shade, misters, music, and options for extra fun like hatchet throwing, gel guns, and giant yard games.

This is where groups really bond. It’s the “replay the ride,” “watch the videos,” “who was the wild one?” part of the day.

3:45 – Techatticup Gold Mine Tour (WOW-factor finale)
Now the finish that turns your day into a Nevada story. You’ll step into the world-famous 1861 Gold Mine Tour—cool inside year-round, packed with hidden treasures, and full of Old West tales that bring Eldorado Canyon history to life.

5:30 – Wrap up + head back to Vegas
You leave with the full “we did THAT” feeling and still have time to reset for your Vegas night.

Option B: Hotel Pickup Itinerary (About 7–7.5 Hours Total)

If you choose pickup and drop-off, your total time is longer because it includes transportation.

A few quick notes so you can plan easily:
Pickup is available from four common Strip-area hotels: Excalibur, Horseshoe, Resorts World, and Golden Nugget.
If your group is large, reach out—pickup logistics can vary based on group size and schedule.

The on-site flow is the same as above. You’re just adding drive time on both ends, which makes this option perfect if you want the day to feel totally hands-off.

Why This Is the Perfect Off-Strip Vegas Day

Vegas is iconic. But if you want a day that stands out, you need contrast.

This tour is the contrast.

You go from neon and noise to open desert and big views. You get the Old West vibe before you ride. You get adrenaline on the trails. You actually sit down and eat with a view. You laugh with your group. And then you end in the gold mine like you’re stepping into another era.

It doesn’t feel like a “tour.” It feels like a full experience.

ATV vs RZR: Which One Should You Choose?

Both are awesome. The right choice depends on your comfort level and your group vibe.

Choose an ATV if you want

A single-rider, hands-on ride that feels sporty and classic
A more active experience where you’re in full control of your own machine
That “I rode an ATV through the Nevada desert” story

Choose an RZR if you want

A side-by-side ride that feels stable and comfortable
A shared experience with a passenger next to you
A more “driving a fun off-road car” feel while still being wild

Important driver note: RZR drivers must be 21 years old to drive.

If your group has mixed comfort levels, RZR is often the easiest crowd-pleaser because it feels approachable while still delivering big excitement.

Free Photos and Videos (So You Don’t Have to Film Your Whole Day)

This is one of the biggest reasons people love the Old West Tour.

You don’t have to spend the whole tour holding a phone.
You don’t have to stress about who’s taking the group pic.
You don’t have to miss the moment because you’re trying to capture it.

We take photos and videos throughout the experience, so you can stay present and still leave with content you’ll actually want to post. For birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette groups, and corporate outings, this is huge.

What to Wear (And What Not to Wear)

Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. No exceptions. If you show up in open shoes, you won’t be able to participate.

We strongly recommend:
Comfortable pants you can move in
A long sleeve shirt (sun, wind, desert terrain—this is the smart move)
Sunglasses for sun and wind
Sunscreen even when it feels cooler
A light layer depending on season

Helmet note:
Helmets are mandatory for all riders. Hair must be worn flat so the helmet fits securely and comfortably (no high buns or ponytails on top of the head).

Extra real-life tip:
You will likely get dusty. We dust you off after the ride, but if you’re going out after, bring an extra shirt. White shows dust the most.
