FAMILY ADVENTURE

A Las Vegas day your kids will actually remember

Looking for things to do in Las Vegas with kids that go beyond the casino floor and the buffet line? About 45 minutes south of the Strip, families climb into side by side vehicles and ride a private desert trail through Eldorado Canyon, the same landscape featured in 3000 Miles to Graceland, Beyonce, the Jonas Brothers, Bad Bunny, Lainey Wilson, and Luke Bryan. It is hands on, wide open, and built for all ages, with our adventure experts leading every step.

While every other Las Vegas family guide sends you to another indoor attraction, this is the real thing. Fresh air, open desert, a ghost town, a gold mine, and a story the kids will retell long after the trip ends. We have 5 tours to choose from, ranging from 2 hours on site up to a packed full day adventure of 5.5 to 6 hours on site, and the stops mentioned here are on selected tours, so ask us which tour includes what you want to see.

THE QUESTION EVERY PARENT ASKS

What age can kids ride?

Here is exactly how it works, so you can plan with confidence.

Ages 5 to 15

Minimum 42 inches tall. Ride as a passenger in a two seater side by side with a parent or guide. Minimum 42 pounds.

Ages 16 to 17

May drive an ATV, no license needed. A parent or guardian rides along on the tour.

Ages 18 and Up

Must be 21 years old to drive a 2-seater RZR. May drive an ATV or a side by side with a valid driver license.

THE EXPERIENCE

Everyone rides together

Families ride in our roomy side by side vehicles. Choose from the Sporty Polaris RZR 4-seater or the Polaris Ranger Family Crew Cab that seats 5 to 6 guests to keep everyone together. Our Adventure Experts set the pace and make sure every rider feels confident from the first mile.

MUST SEE AND DO

Family friendly stops along the way

The adventure is full of stops that keep kids wide eyed the whole way. These are visits along the route, open for everyone to enjoy.

Wild West Ghost Town

Kids just love walking through and seeing all the weathered buildings, vintage cars, and one of a kind antiques with cool stories to hear. Famous stars film here all the time, it is like the Old West meeting Mad Max. This is a stop you explore on foot, not ride through.

1861 Gold Mine

The historic Techatticup Gold Mine is one of the oldest and richest mines, dating back to 1861. This is the WOW factor and the kids just love walking through an actual gold mine.

Colorado River

On selected tours you can ride to the Majestic Colorado River. Have a scenic lunch at the river, soak up views of the canyon walls and enjoy the thrilling ride creating unforgettable memories.

COME PREPARED

What to bring for a family desert tour

We supply all your safety gear and water during the tour. It is mandatory to wear closed toe shoes.

  • Long sleeves and pants are strongly recommended due to desert terrain, cacti, rocks, brush, and wildlife, plus if riding an ATV your legs are next to the muffler and will get hot. Dress for the weather and desert conditions.
  • We recommend zipper clothing or fanny pack, or small backpack to hold your belongings, so they do not fall out of your pockets while riding. If you lose items on the trails, most likely it will be lost or damaged.
  • Hair MUST be flat enough to fit under a helmet.
  • Water is provided during the tour. You may bring additional snacks or beverages if desired.

Best time to go with kids

Fall through spring is prime season, with mild days and cool mornings that are easy for younger riders. Summer runs hot, so tours start earlier, and every ride includes unlimited ice cold water, coolie neck ties, and sunscreen, or take advantage of our beautiful sunset tour, where the towering canyons offer shade for a cooler ride.
